3. Joey Bosa

Derwin James is the most important player on the defensive side of the ball and Joey Bosa is right behind him. Bosa is the most important player on the defensive line and while Justin Jones is more important to stop the run as an interior defensive lineman, Bosa is the overall most impactful player on the defensive line.

Bosa has been having a spectacular season yet again for the Chargers. If you just look at sack numbers it might not seem like Bosa is having a big year but the pressure numbers tell a different story. Bosa has 9.5 sacks this season but according to Pro Football Focus, Bosa has recorded 64 pressures this season.

The most remarkable Bosa stat has to be the fact that he has forced six fumbles this season. His impact on the defense is undeniable as he gives the Chargers exactly what the team needs to have a Super Bowl ceiling.

To win the Super Bowl you have to be able to stop the run and you have to be able to generate pressure on the quarterback without blitzing. While the rest of the defensive line has been inconsistent in generating pressure, Bosa is consistent and is one of the best in the league.

If the LA Chargers beat the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 18 then chances are Joey Bosa has a huge game and hits Derek Carr a few times.
