4. Sign/Draft an Outside Linebacker/Rusher

It's maybe a bit of a sneaky need for the Bolts, but this team tallied just 35 sacks in 2021 and has been on a downward slide in pass-rushing for the past several seasons tallying just 27 sacks in 2020 and 30 in 2019.

Now, Uchenna Nwosu is up for a new contract and he could very well be gone from LA if the right team offers him the right contract.

Plenty of replacement options are on the table, but I would like to see Nwosu come back since I believe he finally started to find his groove down the stretch of this past season. A groove he's been trying to hit ever since being drafted.

Assuming that he's on the rise, it would certainly behoove the Chargers to move to keep him in the building.

If not, obviously the Von Miller option is staring the Bolts directly in the face. He's right across the stadium right now celebrating a Super Bowl with the Rams, and he knows the AFC West very well.

He would be an uber-expensive option that would have a shorter clock, but having Miller and Joey Bosa on the same defensive line is about as good a 1-2 punch as you can ask for today.

But the free-agent pool for edge pass rushers and outside linebackers is so rich this offseason that the Bolts have a lot of different routes to take. All I know is that it would be beneficial for them to take at least one of those options and beef up the edge-rushing game.
