With the 233rd pick in this LA Chargers mock draft, the Bolts select Zakoby McClain, LB, Auburn
The LA Charger should continue to add depth to the linebacker room and at this point in the draft the team is looking mostly for players who could have a positive impact on special teams. McClain has the traits to be a positive player on that side of the football.
With the 252nd pick in this LA Chargers mock draft, the Bolts select Verone McKinley, S, Oregon
Verone McKinley is another player who is going to provide a special teams impact to the Chargers right away but he also has the potential to be an impact player in defense down the road. McKinley is a versatile safety who could not only line up as a two-high safety but could also play some slot corner as well.
If there is one thing Brandon Staley loves in the secondary it is versatility and interchangeable pieces and McKinley could be that for the team.
With the 253rd pick in this LA Chargers mock draft, the Bolts select Tre Turner, WR, Virginia Tech
With K.J. Hill no longer on the roster and the future of Joe Reed unclear, the Chargers should absolutely be drafting a late-round wide receiver with four extra picks just to try and find a hidden gem and build the depth of the roster.
While not the most athletic compared to his NFL peers, Turner has great ball skills and shows off his basketball background with making contested catches. If he refines his route-running then he could become a target in the offense in time.
With the 255th pick in this LA Chargers mock draft, the Bolts select Brock Hoffman, IOL, Virginia Tech
The Chargers could draft an interior offensive lineman earlier in the 2022 NFL Draft but the opportunity never presented itself in this mock draft. In taking Brock Hoffman, the Bolts would be getting a college prospect that played multiple positions on the line of provides versatile depth, which is valuable.
