2. DE Yannick Ngakoue
Yannick Ngakoue is easily the best player that the Las Vegas Raiders brought in this offseason. The Raiders have ironically been searching for pass rushers after trading away Khalil Mack and they may have just signed the guy they have been looking for.
The Raiders signed Ngakoue to a two-year, $26 million contract this offseason and while he is no prime Khalil Mack, he is going to provide a presence to the defensive line that the Raiders have not had since Mack.
That being said, Ngakoue's career definitely is going in the wrong direction. He definitely has a Pro Bowl ceiling and he was elite with the Jacksonville Jaguars but he has not gotten better as time has gone on. In fact, he has slowly gotten less and less productive year-over-year.
However, we should not be overlooking Ngakoue because of that. He is still only 26 years old and he has not been in the best situations. Jacksonville slowly deteriorated after reaching the AFC Championship Game and then he played for two different teams (Minnesota and Baltimore) last season.
There is plenty of time for Ngakoue to rebound and reach an even higher ceiling than he has already reached. Luckily, the LA Chargers offensive line is no longer a dumpster fire, so even if he is Pro Bowl Ngakoue again, the Chargers should be able to contain him.
