Justin's Herbert Monday Night Football game grade: B-

We have said it before on these grading articles but we do have to grade on a curve with Justin Herbert. We know what he is capable of and a B- game for Herbert would be an A game for lesser quarterbacks in the league. Simply passing for Herbert is great for many.

This was not Herbert's best game but it is hard to say that it was a bad game. In fact, Herbert appeared to be well on his way to an A+ grade as he was absolutely phenomenal in the first half.

Heading into halftime with a 21-0 lead Herbert had completed 20 of 25 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns. Of course, things never stay the same but the man was on pace for 350 passing yards and six touchdowns. He had an insane second half.

Then things started to slow down for Herbert as the Raiders started to get more pressure home, disrupting some throws that Herbert typically makes every single time. Herbert did a great job in not turning the ball over and in the team's most important drive of the game, they turned to Austin Ekeler, who was fantastic in this one.

Herbert finished completing 25 of 38 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns. The Raiders did a really great job with the adjustments that they made in half to keep this from turning into a blowout in which Herbert had a career game.

But the problem was that they committed to stopping Herbert so much that it opened the door for the running game.
