4. Donald Parham
Donald Parham is a touchdown machine. While he is not going to be one of the top tight ends in the league, the value that he adds to the LA Chargers absolutely is worth a new contract after the 2021 season, especially considering that his market value is not going to be big because of the smaller role he plays.
Parham absolutely should be part of the future of the tight-end position as well. He has shown his prowess as a pass-catcher and is great both in his routes and with the ball in his hand. Parham has also shown improvements in his blocking as well, making him more playable as a tight end.
Tre' McKitty is the long-term plan for the starting tight end and Parham is a great complementary piece to have alongside him in the future. In fact, Parham is blossoming enough that the Chargers might simply trust him to be the TE1 in 2022.
Parham has 10 receptions for 114 yards with three touchdowns. The counting stats might not be huge for Parham but the fact remains that he is a deadly red-zone target who is legitimately a headache for other teams to gameplan against.
Heck, Parham has caught 10 of his 11 targets this season with his only non-catch coming in Week 1 of the season. If Justin Herbert targets Donald Parham then he makes the catch. Plain and simple.
