2. Braxton Berrios
Braxton Berrios is another name that has been mentioned multiple times before on Bolt Beat. In fact, both Berrios and Patterson were mentioned in the same article as both guys did well in not dropping passes last season. That is valuable to a Chargers team that lead the entire league in drops last season. Just another reason to potentially replace Roberts with an offensive playmaker.
Berrios may not have the same versatility that Patterson has but he would still be a solid addition to the receiving room. He would leap-frog Jalen Guyton in the depth chart and would fight with Joshua Palmer for WR3 reps, likely getting all of his reps in the slot for the Bolts.
His overall offensive numbers may not be as impressive on the Chargers just because of all the weapons in LA but he certainly would be more impactful on offense than Roberts. He could be even better at returning kicks as Roberts as well.
Berrios was an All-Pro returner last season and is still entering his athletic prime. He is someone who can be at an even higher level than Roberts and would produce for many more years than Roberts can at his current age.
Berrios also does not have the same hurdle of not returning punts as he returned 15 punts last season for an average of 13.4 yards per return. He led the league in yards per kick return at 30.4.
