Kyzir White returns to the LA Chargers

This might seem like wishful thinking as Mike Williams and Kyzir White are the two biggest free agents that the LA Chargers have and the Bolts re-signing both of them would cost a lot of money. That being said, the linebacker position would be absolutely dreadful if White does not return in 2022, making him extremely important.

All that being said, I still do not think that White is going to get that big of a contract in free agency. As fans, we can have a tendency to overvalue Charger players and expect them to get much more than they will actually get in free agency. When comparing it to other recent linebacker contracts in the past, it is clear that White will not break the bank.

I projected White to get a four-year, $35 million deal with $21 million in guarantees. That is a cap hit of just under $9 million a season and when you really think about it, White's cap hit would simply be replacing Chris Harris' cap hit.

Could he get more than that? Absolutely. But that seems to be right in White's range and it is more than doable for the Bolts to bring both Williams and White back at those price points. With the alternative being Drue Tranquill and Kenneth Murray, you would hope the Chargers bring back White at that price.
