The LA Chargers are currently battling for a playoff spot in the crowded AFC playoff picture with three games remaining in the 2021 season. The 2021 season has taught us a lot about the Bolts and how they are going to operate moving forward and it is hard not to get excited about the future of this team.
The current attention is obviously on this season but with the most cap space in the NFL and another year of Justin Herbert and Brandon Staley, it is hard to not get excited about a potential Super Bowl window in the next few seasons (which will hopefully include this season).
If the Chargers are going to maximize this window then they are going to have to maximize the NFL Draft. We have already touched on potential first-round targets for the Bolts to pursue, now we look at the 2022 NFL Draft in another light.
There are 3 positions that the LA Chargers should stay away from in the 2022 NFL Draft.
We are going to avoid listing the most obvious positions. You won't see us writing a ton about why the Chargers don't need to draft a quarterback, punter, kicker or long snapper. Instead, we are looking at the positions that could actually be drafted, but shouldn't be.
