Heading into the offseason, the LA Chargers were one of the few teams in the NFL who were a couple of pieces away from being Super Bowl contenders. With the moves that they have made through both free agency and trades, they have built one of the more complete rosters in the entire league. There are a few weaknesses left on the team, and nearly all of these holes will be addressed through the draft.
With just two picks over the first three rounds, the Chargers will have to get creative with how they approach this draft. They will have to find impact players who can immediately step in and contribute. It is widely believed that the biggest needs on this roster are wide receiver, offensive line, and cornerback. It is all but guaranteed that a combination of these needs will be addressed with their first two picks.
With a draft that is so deep in the areas that the Chargers need addressing, they will likely be able to add a quality player in the third round of the draft. With pick 79, there are a few different routes the Chargers could look to take.
