The LA Chargers are in sole possession of first place in the AFC West for the first time since Week 7 of the 2011 season. The 3-1 Bolts have been the surprising team of the NFL thus far and they can continue their red-hot start with a win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6.
If the Chargers lose then they will be back in a tie for first place in the division. The 3-2 Raiders and 3-2 Broncos play each other and barring an unlikely tie, one of those teams will be 4-2. The Chiefs, meanwhile, are 2-3 and are taking on the Washington Football Team.
As we did last week, we are going to predict the outcome of every AFC West game in Week 6. Last week we went 3-1, predicting the Steelers, Raiders and Bills to win.
Baltimore Ravens 33, LA Chargers 30
I know, I know, it is not popular to pick against the LA Chargers. And as much as I hope I am wrong, I can't help but feel like this is going to be chalked up as a great game for the Bolts where the Ravens simply got the ball last and won the game.
It is really hard to win games in the NFL and the Chargers have three huge wins in a row. The Ravens match up really well with the Chargers, who have one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. Baltimore also has a massive kicking advantage in Justin Tucker.
The Chargers will tie the game on the road with a great drive by Justin Herbert but the Ravens will have just enough time to get in range and nail a 50+-yard field goal to win the game. At the end of the day, Charger fans will have nothing else to do but tip their cap to the Ravens.
