The LA Chargers made one of the biggest trades in franchise history this week as the Bolts traded a 2022 second-round pick and 2023 sixth-round pick to the Chicago Bears for former All-Pro edge rusher, Khalil Mack. Mack reunites with Brandon Staley in LA at a good price as the Bears wanted to get off of Mack's salary.

For the most part, it seems that the vast majority of fans have been receptive to this move and it is hard not to be. Mack is one of the biggest names in the sport and at his best, he is one of the most dangerous defensive players in the entire league.

However, there has been a smaller contingent of fans that have pointed out some potential issues with the Mack trade. The fact that Mack is 31 years old, is coming off of an injury-riddled season and has seen his production go down the last two years are valid reasons for concern. Anyone pointing those concerns out is not being negative, they are all variables that will impact how Mack plays.

And while I am typically someone who is very against bringing in players over the age of 30, especially on big contracts, it is hard not to love this deal as the potential flaws are not as concerning.
