2. Who will be the Chargers' third receiver?
The top two spots in the wide receiver room are locked down as Keenan Allen and Mike Williams make one of the best receiving duos in the entire league. However, the third receiver spot is still up in the air as it will either be Josh Palmer or Jalen Guyton.
Those that follow my work here at Bolt Beat know that I am a massive Palmer fan and think he is going to do great things this season. For my money's worth, Palmer is the more talented receiver and should easily earn the WR3 job in training camp.
That being said, there is more to the equation than who is the better receiver, as silly as that sounds. Guyton is the team's only legitimate option with top-end speed and as a result, he becomes the best option to be a deep threat for Justin Herbert.
While Palmer is really talented and can do a lot of things, he does not have the same over-the-top speed that Guyton can utilize in conjunction with Allen and Williams. That alone gives Guyton an advantage.
It will be very interesting to see now only how the two receiver fair in camp, but how they are utilized in the offense itself. That will be more telling to us than how many highlight-reel catches each guy makes.
