2022 NFL mock draft, picks 29-32:
29. Kansas City Chiefs select Daxton Hill, DB, Michigan
This would be an absolutely perfect selection for the Kansas City Chiefs, unfortunately. The Chiefs are likely losing Tyrann Mathieu this offseason and they would be able to replace him with Daxton Hill, who has serious potential in the NFL. He is a versatile safety who can do a lot of the same things as Mathieu and would essentially directly replace his role on the defense.
30. DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M
This is an interesting selection as DeMarvin Leal is stuck between positions as a prospect. He could easily play on the inside but depending on where he lands, he may move to an edge spot as well. With Melvin Ingram hitting free agency, the Chiefs bolster the defensive line by getting a versatile piece that they can paly around with alongside Chris Jones and Frank Clark.
31. Cincinnati Bengals select Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah
This is a lot lower than most projected Devin Lloyd to go early in the draft process but the fact of the matter is that linebackers don't have as much positional value. The Utah linebacker ends up in a great spot, though, as the Bengals could use a middle linebacker that could improve their already stout defense.
32. Detroit Lions select Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
The Detroit Lions pick the best player available with the 32nd overall pick, which in this case is Nakobe Dean. Like Lloyd, he falls in the draft because of his position. While Dean was better in college, Lloyd fits what the Bengals need in an inside linebacker more.
