The LA Chargers have a lot of talent on the roster heading into 2022 but there are still some notable players who have never earned a Pro Bowl nod. Granted, the Pro Bowl is a flawed measuring stick for talent with the flawed nature of fan voting (as well as the players outright not caring about the game) but it is still a nice accomplishment for a player to have.

There are the usual suspects to make the Pro Bowl again for the Chargers — Justin Herbert, Joey Bosa, Derwin James, Keenan Allen... you get the point. However, there are also Chargers who are primed to get their first-ever Pro Bowl nod this upcoming season.

Here are the 4 Chargers who could be first-time Pro Bowlers in 2022:

Austin Ekeler is the face of being snubbed from the Pro Bowl on the LA Chargers. Despite being one of the 7-8 best running backs in the league over the last three seasons, Ekeler has not gotten a Pro Bowl nod with so much talent in the AFC.

There is still a lot of running back talent in the AFC but if Ekeler has the same season that he had last season it is going to be really hard to deny him the nod. Ekeler picked up over 1,500 yards from scrimmage last season with 20, yes 20, combined touchdowns.

Jonathan Taylor was the only other player in the entire league to have over 1,500 scrimmage yards and 20+ touchdowns last season. In the last 10 seasons, there have only been five such seasons. Ekeler was that good last season and did not get the credit that he deserves.

Ekeler is not alone, however.
