2. The Chargers haul in at least two interceptions

One thing that the Chargers have not been very good at in recent years is taking the ball away. The team made positive strides last season in forcing takeaways but even then they were still around league average.

That is set to change this season as the Chargers have more talent in the secondary not only at the top of the roster but in the depth as well. Not only is there more talent but there are more ballhawks who specialize in forcing takeaways.

Even the later picks like Mark Webb and Deane Leonard who lack in other areas of their game have the ability to read a quarterback and pick off a pass utilizing their athleticism. Ball skills and athleticism are something the Chargers have really targeted in the last two years and they now have a collection of guys.

With the Chargers facing off against backup quarterbacks they are going to get even more chances to pick off a pass. I predict that there will be one interception coming from a young safety and one interception coming from a young cornerback, whether it be Ja'Sir Taylor or Leonard.
