The LA Chargers preseason begins on Saturday against the LA Rams and will be the first of three games that the Bolts have to wet fans' beaks before the regular season begins. However, since the team is so cautious with its big-name players, we likely won't see most of the true starters in action.

That being said, there is still a lot to monitor and a lot we can learn from this game. The outcome of the game does not really matter all that much whereas the performance of players on the roster bubble and in position battles do.

There are still some things we would like to see and we think we will ultimately see in this game, regardless of the outcome.

Here are 3 bold predictions for the Chargers preseason game vs the Rams:

1. Isaiah Spiller scores a touchdown

Isaiah Spiller essentially has the RB2 job locked down but I would not be surprised if he plays a series or two in this first preseason game before paving the way for other running backs to get reps. A lot of fans are really excited to see how Spiller does in the powder blue and I do believe it will start with a bang.

I do not expect this game to be very high scoring but one player that seems like a guarantee to reach the end zone is Spiller. Whether it be via the ground or the pass, Spiller will find the end zone for six as he is playing along some other fringe starters in the beginning of the game.

Since he probably won't play every preseason game and will only play one or two series in this one, Spiller should touch the ball a fair amount as the Chargers not only see what he is made of but show him off to the fanbase.
