The LA Chargers are on the road for the second week in a row in Week 13 as the team will take on the Las Vegas Raiders for the second time this season. This game is a must-win for both parties as the Chargers essentially need four more wins to make the playoffs while the Raiders are going to have to win out to have any chance of making it.

After getting revenge for last season's Week 18 loss in Week 1 this season, the Chargers can get the ultimate revenge on the Raiders in Week 13 by essentially ending their slim playoff hopes.

If the Chargers are going to do that then the team needs several key players to play at their absolute best. Winning in the NFL is all about winning particular matchups and there are three key matchups that the Chargers must win in this game.

3 Chargers who must play at their best to beat the Raiders:

1. Asante Samuel Jr.

Asante Samuel Jr. has really blossomed into a solid cornerback this season and he is undoubtedly looking to have a better showing against Davante Adams this time around than when the two players squared off in Week 1.

The Raiders' offensive weapons are extremely banged up with most of the offense hindering on Adams and Josh Jacobs, who might not even play. If Jacobs does not play and the Chargers can limit Adams then they will have success on the defensive side of the football.

Both Derwin James and Bryce Callahan were added to Wednesday's injury report, making Samuel's play in this game even more important. Samuel is not going to get the same kind of help on Adams without James and Callahan on the field.
