With the 159th pick in this LA Chargers mock draft, the Bolts select Haskell Garrett, IDL, Ohio State

With their first of seven picks in the last 100 selections in the draft, the Chargers finally select a defensive lineman in the form of Ohio State product Haskell Garrett.

This may seem late to be making the first pick on the d-line considering how much it struggled last season, but this is because I expect the team to sign at least two IDL in free agency.

Garrett lasks the ability to be a consistent pass rusher at the next level, however, I expect him to play the 4-technique spot on the Chargers front in a rotational role. The Ohio State senior is very adept against the run and should play the majority of his snaps on early-down situations.

He reminds a little bit of underrated Chargers defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko when looking at size and ability.

After all of this, the Chargers still have another six picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. Let's jump into the two picks that the tea has in the sixth round.
