The LA Chargers appear to be in full-out attack mode to begin the 2022 NFL offseason festivities.
A Khalil Mack-sized earthquake rocked the NFL landscape on Thursday afternoon, when it was reported that the LA Chargers had acquired the veteran pass rusher from the Chicago Bears in exchange for two draft picks.
The move is very atypical of Tom Telesco's tenure with the Chargers, as the trade seems to have the influence of head coach Brandon Staley written all over it. Staley is now reunited with Mack, whom he led during his tenure as the outside linebackers coach Chicago.
The Khalil Mack trade drastically alters every Chargers mock draft.
In light of the trade, it is time to turn our eyes towards what this means for the Bolts player options in the upcoming 2022 edition of the NFL Draft. Now short a second-round pick in the draft, LA will have to be more successful with their later-round picks if they wish to fill out the roster to the best of their abilities.
In this article I'll prepare a Chargers 7-round mock draft, reflecting their needs after the team's blockbuster trade for Khalil Mack. We'll be using The Draft Network's Mock Draft Machine in order to conduct our draft.
Without further ado, let's get started!
