With the 159th pick in this LA Chargers mock draft, the Bolts select Coby Bryant, CB, Cincinnati

Ahmad Gardner is the cornerback from Cincinnati that most know about as he is projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Playing alongside Gardner last season and playing extremely well was Coby Bryant. Bryant does not have the high ceiling that Gardner does, hence his draft position, but he still had a lot of success at the college level.

The Bolts' secondary is in a really good place with the addition of J.C. Jackson but it still needs to add depth. Tevaughn Campbell is still the first option at corner if someone gets hurt and that absolutely should not be the case as we head into the season.

Bryant is someone who the team can bring in to be the CB4, playing in certain packages on long passing downs while also providing a good depth option. While Bryant's athleticism may not be the most exciting thing in the world, he is a tall, lanky corner that has good ball skills and a great feel for the position.

He can definitely absorb the defensive game plan as a rotational cornerback and can fill in on the perimeter when needed.

At this point in the draft, there are often two types of selections: the selections that have massively high ceilings that may not work out (like Okonkwo) and selections that have a low ceiling but also have a really high floor. That is what Coby Bryant presents.
