With the 121st pick in this LA Chargers mock draft, the Bolts select Chigoziem Okonkwo, TE, Maryland

If we are talking about players who really showed off at the NFL Combine and showcased freakish athleticism then we have to mention tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo. Okonkwo ran the fastest 40-yard dash time of any tight end in the combine, clocking in at a ridiculous 4.52.

Okonkwo is a tank of a human being and to see someone with that size and functional strength also run that fast should raise the eyebrows of every single draft evaluator in the league. The Maryland tight end is a bit raw and there is some work to be done on his game but the ceiling is impossible to ignore.

This is a great selection for the Chargers as Okonkwo would not have the pressure or expectations of being a great option right away. The team would lean heavily on Parham and McKitty (getting a slot option as Austin helps as well), as Okonkwo develops as a pro.

By the time his second and third season roll around the Chargers would have hopefully broadened his route tree, refined some of his blocking techniques and found a way to really utilize his athleticism in this offense.

They certainly can utilize it in year one in certain circumstances, especially on special teams.
