The LA Chargers have started to shape the 2023 roster and included in the roster is key players that were re-signed, Trey Pipkins and Morgan Fox. Fox and Pipkins are not the only free agents that were re-signed as Donald Parham also agreed to return to the team after being non-tendered.

Some Chargers free agents aren't so lucky. They have not yet re-signed with the team and unlike Drue Tranquill, have not signed with a new team, either. A lot of contracts ended in LA after the 2022 season and several players are still looking for a new home.

Before diving into the significant Chargers free agents, there is a list of lesser players/restricted free agents that have not been signed yet (but easily could be re-signed for cheap). That list includes Michael Badgley Richard Rodgers, Tyeler Davidson, Christian Covington, Will Clapp, Derrek Tuszka, Joe Gaziano, Kemon Hall and Forrest Merril.

Let's get into the notable players.

7 Chargers free agents who still haven't signed

1. Kyle Van Noy

Kyle Van Noy was brought in to be a veteran presence on the defensive side of the ball that would add depth both at inside linebacker and on the edge. Because of his age, it seemed much more likely that Van Noy would spend most of his time in the linebacker room.

However, injuries forced Van Noy to play on the edge and he had one of the better stretches of his career late in the season. Van Noy was a key part of the Chargers' defensive resurgence, recording one sack five games in a row from Week 17 to Week 18.

With Tranquill leaving, the Chargers are likely motivated to bring Van Noy back because of his leadership and ability to help at inside linebacker. It might just be a matter of time.
