4. Riley Reiff
Riley Reiff's connection is not as strong as some of the other players on this list as he too is a Ryan Ficken connection from his time with the Minnesota Vikings. However, despite being an offensive lineman, Reiff still has some sort of connection with Ficken as he did play some special teams snaps in Minnesota.
Reiff is the biggest tackle name on the market that is still available and there is a contingent of Charger fans that want to see him in powder blue next season. Reiff has had some solid seasons and can play on both sides of the offensive line, adding versatility that the Chargers really value.
However, there is one potential roadblock in signing Reiff. He is going to turn 34 during the 2022 season and he is coming off of an injury with the Cincinnati Bengals. After being burnt by Bryan Bulaga, the Chargers may not want to sign a 33-year-old tackle with injury concerns.
Massie and Reiff are on a similar level when it comes to overall impact and Massie could probably be signed for half of the cost of Reiff. If it came down to these two veteran tackles then the Chargers would be better off with Massie, assuming he does indeed get a cheaper deal than Reiff.
If Reiff's market is lower than expected then he could very well be an option as well for the Chargers.
