Threats to steal Mike Williams from the LA Chargers: 2. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are the one team that has more projected cap space than the LA Chargers. While the Dolphins already have a great receiver in Jaylen Waddle, spending big on Mike Williams would give Tua Tagovailoa yet another weapon to target in the offense.

The Dolphins are an interesting team as they have a pretty decent roster that is held back by the quarterback position. Tua has not been the best in his young career and he isn't getting much help with a bad offensive line.

The offensive line market is not as deep as previous years so while the Dolphins should spend in that area, it is more likely that they will build up the depth of the O-line in the draft. After selecting a young receiver last year, the Dolphins have the luxury of being able to spend big on a no. 2 while Waddle is on his rookie contract.

Williams would be a nice complement to the receiving room in Miami. Waddle is the YAC machine that is versatile with the ball in his hands and making plays happen. While Williams is much more than just a jump-ball specialist, he does give the Dolphins that deep-threat, jump-ball receiver that they can throw to on third and 17 or in the red zone.

Like with the Jaguars, Williams would also be playing closer to home as he grew up in South Carolina.
