5. Jadeveon Clowney
Whilst maybe not living up to the hype of a number one overall pick, Jadeveon Clowney is still an extremely talented edge rusher who could give the Chargers a boost on the defensive front.
Despite the injuries incurred over his eight year career, the former South Carolina Gamecock still has lots of giddy-up in his legs after a stellar 2021 with the Cleveland Browns. Clowney record nine sacks and 11 tackles for loss in just 14 games with Cleveland, and brings the presence that would work perfectly on the other side of Joey Bosa.
Not only is Clowney's power rushing style appealing to Brandon Staley in his defense, but the elite run-game stopping displayed by the 2014 draft's first pick is noteworthy. Having Clowney and Bosa on the edge would terrorize quarterbacks when they drop back and when they hand the ball to their running back.
