4. Jermaine Johnson II

Similar to Ojabo, Florida State prospect Jermaine Johnson II is a potential fit for the Chargers if they choose to select edge rusher in the first round of the draft. An increasingly hot name on draft Twitter, Johnson was really put on teams' radars after a strong showing down in Mobile for the Senior Bowl

Johnson, a former Last Chance U participant, is a veteran at the collegiate level, playing five years of college ball. He finished the 2021 season as the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, totalling 18 tackles for loss to go along with 12 sacks.

Johnson will turn 24 during next season, which is old for a rookie, however, the Chargers shouldn't be turned away from him because of that. At 6'5", 262 lb, the Minnesota native is a power rusher off the edge, but also an extremely good talent in the run game. After the Chargers' struggles in run defense last season, Johnson's abilities against the ground game could make him a viable option for the Bolts.
