March has arrived, and it'll be the start of one of the most important offseasons in Los Angeles Chargers history.
After an inconsistent 9-8 season in 2021, the Bolts need to take advantage of their projected 11 draft picks and $60 million plus in salary cap room. With Justin Herbert going into the third year of his rookie contract, now is the time for Tom Telesco and the front office to go all in and use each asset they have to build a championship-caliber roster.
One of LA's most important decisions this offseason is deciding which of their own pending UFA to bring back to the team in 2022. An on-the-rise, ascending talent, Chargers pass rusher Uchenna Nwosu is one of the team's top pending free agents. After having a career year in Brandon Staley's defense, the USC product will be looking to cash in on his market.
Whilst I would personally love to have Nwosu back with the team for 2022, the market ultimately dictates whether or not this is realistic.
The Chargers have to prepare to replace Uchenna Nwosu
In this article, we'll prepare for the potential of Nwosu leaving by discussing five potential replacements the Chargers could acquire through free agency or the draft. (*Note the order of this list is irrelevant)
