2. Jerry Hughes, EDGE

The Kansas City Chiefs trading for Jerry Hughes would be a double-edged sword for the LA Chargers. First of all, it would make the Chiefs' defensive front more talented and deeper than it currently is.

Kansas City traded for former-Charger Melvin Ingram last season and it made a world of difference when they put him on the edge and ended the Chris Jones experiment. Trading for Hughes could have a similar impact for the Chiefs, making Justin Herbert's life harder when they play later in the season.

It would also sting as this is someone who Chargers fans have been circling as a potential trade target for the Bolts. Los Angeles is banged up with both Joey Bosa and Chris Rumph now injured and since Bosa's injury the team has not been able to get pressure on the quarterback with just four.

Adding Hughes would certainly be a step in the right direction for the Chargers and once Bosa does return it would give the team an overqualified three-man rotation that allows Van Noy to fully move back into being an inside linebacker.

All that being said, the Chargers made an interesting decision and signed Jeremiah Attaochu on Wednesday to replace Rumph, which likely takes one suitor off the market and makes it easier for the Chiefs to make a move.
