The LA Chargers rebounded from an ugly loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3 with an ugly win against the Houston Texans in Week 4. Los Angeles still was not able to play a complete game of football but at the end of the day, the team did enough to walk away with the victory to move to 2-2 on the season.

Leading the way for the Chargers were the usual suspects. Offensively, Justin Herbert, Mike Williams and Austin Ekeler put the team on their backs. Defensively, we once again saw the likes of Derwin James, Khalil Mack and Asante Samuel Jr. making plays.

But in the win there were also Chargers who surprised the fans. They may not have been the main reason why the Bolts won, but their performance was still surprising and positive for the team.

Here are the 3 Chargers who exceeded expectations in Week 4 win over Texans:

1. Michael Bandy

Michael Bandy was a preseason standout for the Chargers who did not make the initial 53-man roster but was able to stick around on the practice squad. Bandy still was not given a roster spot when Jalen Guyton tore his ACL but he was elevated off the practice squad for Thursday's game.

Bandy did not get much playing time but when he was on the field he once again proved that he can make a difference on offense. Josh Palmer dealt with an ankle injury that knocked him out for a few drives and Bandy stepped into his place and made some big catches.

Bandy only made two catches in the game but he still finished tied for the third-most receiving yards with 49. Both catches were part of the team's field goal drive to end the first half in which all 49 yards came via Bandy's receptions.

It may have only been one drive's worth of play and it might not seem overly impressive but Bandy once again proved that he can be a weapon in an NFL offense.
