1. Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders have the 22nd overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and the difference of just five picks could be a massive difference for the Raiders. The Raiders' number one need heading into the offseason is a true WR1, particularly one who could be a deep threat for the team.
The Raiders have some cap space to spend but it is hard to see them being the favorite for one of the few true WR1s that are on the free-agent market. Thus, the attention could turn to the draft and there is a trio of receivers that the Raiders could be scouting: Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave and Jameson Williams.
Again, the draft can be unpredictable but based on the standings of each player at this point in the draft process the most likely outcome seems to be that at least one of the three will be on the board at 17 but no more than two of the three will be.
If the Raiders really like whichever receiver is still on the board at 17 then they could call their division rivals and work out a trade. The Chargers are in a really important spot to trade down to a receiver-hungry team as well as the New Orleans Saints desperately need a receiver and pick at 18 and the New England Patriots could also use a receiver at 21.
Philadelphia has the 15th, 16th and 19th pick in the draft and they should be taking one of those receivers with one of those picks. That will leave slim pickings for a team like the Raiders if they truly to want to get a top-tier receiver in the draft.
