3. Derwin James - 17th overall, 2018 NFL Draft
Despite some of the injury concerns Derwin James has had to deal with in his career, the ex-Florida State Seminole comes in as Telesco's third-best first-round pick on my list.
The jack-of-all-trades defensive back has come to life on the field in all scenarios when he's actually on the field. James's durability is the only thing stopping him from being higher on the list.
Derwin appears in-line for a mega extension this offseason and deservedly so. After slipping in the first round for whatever reason, Telesco and the Bolts pulled the trigger on him with the 17th overall pick back in 2018.
During his time in powder blue, James is a two-time Pro Bowler and a one-time All Pro, racking up numbers all over the stat sheet in many different roles.
Credit to Telesco for getting the pick in and ignoring any outside noise, solidifying the Bolts' core defensive piece for the next five-to-seven years.
