5. David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan

Average ranking: 5.61

Just narrowly edging out Jermaine Johnson for the fifth spot among fans is David Ojabo. In fact, Ojabo checked in with an average rating of 5.61 while Johnson was at 5.63. It is clear that Charger fans view these two edge rushers on an even level, even if I personally lean towards Jermaine Johnson on the Chargers.

The Chargers would be blessed to have either edge rusher on the team. Both Johnson and Ojabo are really talented and both have much higher ceilings than Uchenna Nwosu has. In fact, it would not be all that surprising if either Ojabo or Johnson are better than Nwosu in their first season.

Either edge rusher will only be a target for the Bolts if they do not come to terms on a new contract with Nwosu. There are early reports about both sides having mutual interest in staying together but the "money has to be right", which could lead to the Chargers finding a new edge rusher in the draft.

It would probably suit the Chargers to take an edge rusher in the first round if they are unable to bring back Nwosu or sign a replacement. If that happens, then we have to assume that the team was able to spend more at the other positions of need. Getting an elite edge rusher to play alongside Joey Bosa and generate pressure would be the move for LA.
