2. Kyle Van Noy

If we would have written this article six weeks ago then Kyle Van Noy would not have been on the list. Van Noy was not that impactful of a player for the first half of the season and it appeared that his Chargers tenure was going to be limited to just one season.

However, Van Noy has really turned it up over the last few weeks and has been a critical component of the Chargers' defensive turnaround. You don't record a sack in four straight games by accident as Van Noy has been playing some of the best football of his entire career this season.

Van Noy's versatility is also valuable to the Chargers, especially in a world in which Tranquill walks in free agency. While Van Noy has been making noise as a pass rusher, he also can drop back and play linebacker, giving the Chargers a potential rotational piece next season.

While he has played great in recent weeks, Van Noy's cost is still going to be low because of his age and the miles on him in his NFL career. Even if the team drafts a pass rusher in the top 100 in the 2023 NFL Draft (which they should do), the Chargers would benefit from bringing back Van Noy to be a versatile depth piece. He has proven that he still has gas in the tank.
