The LA Chargers shocked the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3 of the 2021 NFL season to move to 2-1 on the young season. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are under .500 for the first time since naming Patrick Mahomes the starting quarterback.

There is still a lot of football left to play and the standings do not totally dictate the power rankings in the division. That being said, there is a pretty big shift in our AFC West power rankings after the Bolts went into Arrowhead and shocked the Chiefs.

AFC West power rankings following the Week 3 outcomes:

4. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos won yet again but they still find themselves ranked last in our AFC West power rankings. While the Broncos are one of just a few undefeated teams in the league they have had the easiest go of things early in the season.

The Broncos are 3-0 and the three teams that they have beaten are a combined 0-9. Denver has beaten the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets. It would not be surprising whatsoever if those are the top three teams in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Denver has a real test in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens, who will probably end up routing Denver and put an end to this fairy tale start. You cannot totally blame the Broncos, as they have to play who is in front of them, but that does not mean that we have to take them seriously as a 3-0 team.
