Davante Adams is patiently checking his phone and keeping his eyes wide open as he surfs across numerous sports shows over the next few weeks.
With the Green Bay Packers being shown the door in the divisional round of the postseason by the San Francisco 49ers, the rest of the franchise, including Adams, will now wait to see whatquarterback Aaron Rodgers will do next.
His free agency decision will have a lasting effect on what Adams ultimately decides to do. Should Rodgers leave town, Adams could begin scouring the NFL landscape for his next stop. Amongst the many places that could be near the top of his list, is the Los Angeles Chargers. Why wouldn’t it be?
Other than the bright and sunny skies, the franchise is in a terrific spot. Justin Herbert has proven himself in year two and the team has playmakers on both sides of the ball all over the field.
Still, while Adams could flirt with LA, the Chargers should keep their head straight and move forward without him. Signing the otherworldly receiver may seem ostensible to fans of the franchise but to us, it wouldn’t be a sagacious decision.
