Receivers the Chargers should stay away from: 1. Mohamed Sanu
The career of Mohamed Sanu has been incredibly overrated. Taken with a third-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Sanu had all of the measurables. At 6’2” and weighing well over 200 pounds, Sanu was terrific to look at. But, truth be told, his game never quite matched up to what many expected.
In his best season, which took place in 2018, Sanu piled up only 838 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He's never been known as the fastest or the most physical receiver but he blended in nicely during his time in Atlanta next to Julio Jones.
Currently, Sanu appears to be on his last legs. As a member of the San Francisco 49ers, Sanu was practically an afterthought. He racked up just 177 receiving yards in eight games. He was also a healthy scratch in the postseason.
Sanu brings absolutely nothing to the table for a Chargers squad that appears to be on their way up the NFL ladder.
