The LA Chargers have both a bright future and an uncertain one.

Although they failed to grab one of the final postseason spots, quarterback Justin Herbert established himself as one of the best young throwers of the football. With over 5,000 passing yards and 38 touchdowns, expect Herbert to creep into the MVP conversation next year.

The problem for the Chargers is that they could be losing a huge weapon in wide receiver Mike Williams. The 27-year-old racked up over 1,100 yards and really clicked with Herbert. Though he’s a free agent this offseason, he could easily re-sign with LA, or he can opt to walk.

Regardless of what he ultimately decides to do, the Chargers should be careful with their spending habits. The free agency market is going to be filled with big-name wide receivers but most are fools gold.

With the arm strength and overall play of Herbert, he could make just about anyone look good. Even with that being the case, the Chargers shouldn't be foolish and grab the first wide receiver that makes themselves available.

So who exactly should which wide receivers Chargers avoid in free agency? Keep reading to find out.
