The LA Chargers have had to deal with the worst injury bug in the entire sport this season and despite all of the hurdles they have had to overcome, they still have a winning record. The hope is now that as the team gets healthy and the schedule gets easier that the Bolts can make a run for an AFC playoff spot.

If that is going to happen then the team not only has to get something out of those returning from injury but also has to get something out of players who have not contributed much thus far this season.

Nobody expects the 53rd man on the roster to be some massive contributor but there are some notable players on then roster that have dropped the ball this season with what they have provided for the team.

Here are 5 Chargers who have offered the team almost nothing in 2022:

1. Tre' McKitty

Tre' McKitty has not had the sophomore season that he nor the team was hoping he would have in 2022. McKitty was selected in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft as a blocking tight end that would need to develop as a pass-catcher.

For the most part, McKitty's rookie season showed promise. He proved to be a good blocker in the chances he was getting and at the very worst it seemed like the Chargers would have a backend blocking specialist to utilize in key spots.

With Donald Parham missing most of the season, McKitty has gotten plenty of chances to play for the Chargers this season and it has not been pretty. Not only is his impact in the passing game null, but his blocking (what he was drafted for) has not been very good, either.
