4. EDGE Melvin Ingram

This is a familiar face for Chargers fans and could help out this LA Chargers’ defense.

Melvin Ingram has had a pretty successful career with the Chargers. The former 2012 first-round pick is now on the free-agent market and has not been picked up yet.

While Ingram is now 32 years old, he has still been productive as of recent. Between 2015 & 2019, Ingram has had seven or more sacks in each of his seasons. Another plus is the duo of both Ingram and Joey Bosa. Both of them have played together since 2016, and have put up crazy numbers together. Keeping this duo together would be great

The one problem for Ingram in 2020 was his injury. The Chargers have had some bad injury problems over the last couple of years, so it would be a risk giving someone like Ingram money for him to miss significant game time. Especially since he only played in seven games last season.

Post-OTAs 53-man roster prediction. Next

Personally, if the Chargers could get a decent deal done with Melvin Ingram, I think they should sign him. Ingram may even sign for a little less because of how long it has taken him to be picked up by the team. Either way, I’d love to see Ingram come back and win a Super Bowl with the team that drafted him.
