The LA Chargers are coming off of a very disappointing season, which at this point, has become the standard for the team in recent years. The team was surprisingly gifted the best rookie quarterback in NFL history yet still could not get out of its own way, finishing with a 7-9 record.
The Chargers even messed that up as they won four games in a row to end the season and take themselves out of the running for Penei Sewell. Nobody should be complaining, though, as the Chargers wound up with Rashawn Slater at pick 13, which was better than the team going up and getting Sewell.
Between an excellent first two picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, a solid free agency period and the fact that Justin Herbert is the quarterback, there is a lot of excitement in the air as the Chargers welcome fans to SoFi Stadium for the first time this season.
In this excitement comes expectations for the LA Chargers.
The fans that have stuck around through the bad are excited for the potential of a new year but are also expecting certain things out of the team. While some expectations are simply unreasonable (such as outright winning the Super Bowl), there are basic expectations that the Chargers should (hopefully) accomplish in 2021.
Let’s get into the three things that Charger fans should be expecting out of the Bolts during the 2021 season.
