LA Chargers who need to step up Jalen Guyton

While this player had a pretty good 2020 campaign, their role during the new season will have a big impact on if the Chargers contend for a title.

Jalen Guyton had a pretty good season last year with the Chargers and had a great connection with Justin Herbert. Throughout the season, Guyton had 28 catches for 511 receiving yards, three touchdowns, and his longest reception went for 72 yards. Throughout the season, Guyton appeared in all 16 games and started in nine of them.

Many of you may be confused because of the decent production Guyton had last season. Especially since it was his first real season playing and especially because he was the third receiver on the depth chart.

With Keenan Allen being covered heavily and the uncertainty of Mike William’s future with the Chargers, Guyton will have to step up and have an even better season and connection with Herbert for the Chargers offense to have higher production.

Even with the chance of a trade for Julio Jones, Guyton needs to take that big step for the team to have a chance at that Lombardi trophy. Hopefully, we will see a lot more deep passes from the connection of Herbert to Guyton.
