Week 10 vs. Minnesota Vikings
The LA Chargers host the Minnesota Vikings at the perfect time and place. While the Vikings will be better than most give them credit for, the Chargers are catching them at home and are in between two tough games. The timing could not be better for LA.
The Chargers play the Vikings a week after they host the Seattle Seahawks and before they are on the road to take on the Green Bay Packers. That is ideal for the Chargers, as they will be tested the week prior in Seattle and could be looking ahead at Green Bay.
The Vikings had one of the worst secondaries in the league last season and I am not convinced in the additions that the team did make. Patrick Peterson was the Vikings’ big secondary move and I don’t understand how Minnesota fans can be excited about it.
Peterson is an aging cornerback who has gotten worse year over year and is going to continue to regress because of his age. We see this time and time again with older cornerbacks in the league yet teams never seem to learn.
Look at Casey Hayward last season. Look at Chris Harris. No Charger fan is touting him as a great corner and if they are they are extremely biased.
The Vikings have a fun offense with Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen and Dalvin Cook and this should be a competitive, moderately high-scoring game that Justin Herbert has his way in.
