4. Kenneth Murray
Lastly is the 2020 first-round pick Kenneth Murray. Murray was acquired with the 23rd pick after the Chargers traded up with New England Patriots to select him.
After starting inside linebacker Drue Tranquill suffered a broken ankle in week one that sidelined him for the entire season, Kenneth Murray had to step and mature much more quickly than the team hoped.
After playing a solid role in his rookie campaign and earning himself a spot on the 2020 PWFA All-Rookie team, Kenneth Murray looks to lead the linebacker corps heading into 2021.

In his first year in the NFL, Kenneth Murray led the team with 107 tackles. Also notching up 5 tackles for loss and 3 passes defended.
Kenneth Murray and Drue Tranquill are both primed for breakout years in Staley’s defense. With Murray’s impact as a rookie and Tranquill’s expected jump in production; the Chargers look to have a very impressive, young linebacker trio with those two along with Kyzir White (White being the oldest at 25).
If there is any coach that can get the most out of not only Kenneth Murray, but this whole linebacker trio in general, Brandon Staley seems to fit the bill.
