3. Tyree St. Louis

How many offensive linemen the LA Chargers have on the active roster is likely going to determine whether or not Tyree St. Louis gets a spot on the roster or if he is relegated to the practice squad until someone gets hurt.

The ideal number is typically 10 but it is not completely uncommon for nine offensive linemen to be active for any given game, especially if you have depth pieces that have versatility and can fill in at multiple positions.

If the Chargers plan on using nine offensive linemen then St. Louis will be on the practice squad. However, if they go with the traditional 10 then he will be fighting with the UDFA for that final roster spot.

St. Louis was not all that great in the reps he did get last season but there is potential there, and more importantly, there is versatility. That is really important out of a depth offensive lineman and that seems to be something that the team is really valuing this season.

Next. 5 players who are likely entering their last year in LA

Being a second-string offensive lineman might not be the most polarizing job in the world but guys will naturally get hurt and St. Louis, or whoever is in his position, will likely get some reps.
