Notre Dame players the LA Chargers could draft: Adetokunbo Ogundeji
The LA Chargers lost many pieces to their defensive line this offseason. This pick would be great to add some defensive line depth to the team.
With Issac Rochelle going to the Colts and Melvin Ingram not signing back to the team, adding some depth to the defensive line is going to be big, and could be fixed in the later rounds. Ogundeji is a name to look out for to help build depth at the position.
Ogundeji has improved throughout his career with the Fighting Irish. In his second season he recorded one and a half sacks, his third season he recorded four and a half sacks, and then finally in his last season recorded seven sacks. In his final season, he also recorded 23 total tackles and seven tackles for a loss.
Both Joey Bosa and Uchenna Nwosu will need to have great depth behind them. Not only to give them rest but to also give the Chargers solid pieces just in case anything happens injury-wise. This will be big since Bosa played in 12 games and Nwosu in 13.
The improvement shown in Ogundeji should be a tempting pick for the Bolts. At 6’4 and 268 pounds, this could be a lowkey pick that gives a boost to the Chargers’ defensive line.
