Notre Dame players the LA Chargers could draft: Aaron Banks

Offensive line for many of us LA Chargers fans is going to be a big priority in this draft. Eichenberg would be a good tackle addition, but the team should think about a possible guard in the draft. Aaron Banks will be a name to look out for.

Many of the offensive line stats said about Eichenberg can be said about Banks. He was a part of a team that ranked 13th nationally in scoring and 11th in sacks allowed. Banks personally finished with a PFF grade of 81.3. He ranked sixth among all FBS left guards last season in PFF pass-blocking grade.

Banks had an impressive outing last season. He didn’t give up any sacks in the 12 games he played, only allowed seven hurries, and three quarterback hits throughout the season. Banks gave up two fewer hurries than Eichenberg and gave up the same amount of quarterback hits.

While the Chargers did add both Matt Feiler and Oday Aboushi during free agency, they could possibly see Banks as a depth pick that could be a solid starter in the future. Especially getting a solid tackle in the first round, Banks would be a great young guard to add in this draft class.
