2. Haason Reddick
The LA Chargers could sign the guy that J.J. Watt is replacing
By signing Watt, the Arizona Cardinals are essentially punting on bringing back outside linebacker Haason Reddick. It is a shame for the Cardinals as well as it took multiple years to figure out how to use Reddick to make the most out of his abilities.
The Cardinals started Reddick’s career by playing him at inside linebacker and he was awful. He was terrible in pass coverage and looked like he was going to be a draft bust. However, the team then made the decision to convert him back to outside linebacker late in 2019 and the rest is history.
Since that conversion in late 2019 Reddick has been fantastic. He has been a completely different player and has earned a decent second contract in the NFL, something that was not likely halfway through the 2019 season.
Reddick recorded 12.5 sacks last season and would slot perfectly in at outside linebacker for the Bolts. While he is not the best in pass coverage, he has experience dropping into coverage and should be fine with Brandon Staley as his head coach.
The impact of playing next to Joey Bosa would be huge and under Staley, Reddick could live up to his potential as a first-round pick and become a truly special player.
