Justin Herbert has taken the NFL by storm and produced arguably the greatest rookie season by a quarterback in league history in a year in which he was not even supposed to start for the LA Chargers.

The number one priority this offseason is making Herbert’s life as easy as possible for next season and maximizing on the fact that the Chargers have an exceptional young quarterback on his rookie contract.

That is very rare in the NFL and usually, that is the key to unlocking a Super Bowl window.

Herbert has a lot of influence on the organization, whether it be direct or indirect. And in a draft season that is unlike any other because of the 2020 season, the team may turn to Herbert for his opinion on some of his former teammates at the University of Oregon.

The LA Chargers are not getting Penei Sewell, but there are other Ducks that the team could target in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Here are two of Justin Herbert’s former teammates that the LA Chargers could draft in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Correction: The original version of this article listed C.J. Verdell as a potential draft target. Verdell announced earlier this offseason that he would be returning to Oregon for his fifth season with the Ducks after being a redshirt freshman.
