Potential LA Chargers AFC West target: Taco Charlton

While this may be a weird choice, I think this could be a cheap addition that could add depth to the defensive line.

Taco Charlton will be a free agent in the upcoming year. If you look at his numbers, he doesn’t have anything that stands out. This last year, the former Michigan defensive end had two sacks, four quarterback hits, and one forced fumble. Throughout his four-year career, he has accumulated 11 sacks, 20 quarterback hits, and four forced fumbles.

Even though the numbers might not be the craziest, he’s still a solid choice for the Chargers to look at. Charlton is also very young and could come at a cheap price. The Chargers could be a top destination for the lineman, especially having Joey Bosa to be a mentor could develop and help the young defensive end grow.

Adding depth from the draft and possibly Charlton could center the Chargers more around a young defensive line. Which would be ideal since the defensive line has shown lots of promise with the group being so young.

If the Chargers let Melvin Ingram and Isaac Rochell go, they will need the players at the position. Hopefully, Brandon Staley can build up this amazing and powerful defensive line.
